About Me

I am Ignacio Valdez, hailing from Ogden, Utah. You might wonder about the nickname “Nacho,” which is just as common for Ignacio as “Bob” is for “Robert.” Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, I embarked on my journey to the United States in 2003 with a deep-seated desire to assimilate into American society. Even during my formative years, I was fervently dedicated to mastering the English language, as it felt like an integral part of my identity.

My first encounter with the United States left me awe-inspired, recognizing the abundant freedoms and opportunities available to its citizens. On November 4th, I celebrated a momentous milestone as I officially became a United States Citizen. This significant occasion marked the commencement of my engagement with the political sphere, where I registered as a Republican and began an earnest exploration of the various facets of the electoral process. I have solemnly sworn to be an instrument in the hands of God, committed to protecting the Constitution against all who seek to undermine it, whether foreign or domestic.

I am a Conservative

As my involvement in the political landscape deepened, I couldn’t help but notice numerous intriguing elements. It wasn’t solely the mechanics of voting that captured my attention; it was the transformation that some elected officials underwent after assuming office, often straying from their original principles. I also observed the diversity of perspectives held by individuals across the political spectrum.

Subsequently, I made a conscious choice to align with the conservative side of the political spectrum. This decision was primarily influenced by the conservative movement’s adherence to the principles enshrined in the US Constitution, the Amendments, and the Bill of Rights. Additionally, my faith as a Christian, belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, reinforced my alignment with conservative values. I hold firm convictions regarding the sanctity of the traditional family structure, the importance of honoring and upholding the law, and the belief that God has a plan to safeguard this sacred land.

It's all about Citizenship!

My Own

In my extensive involvement within our community, I have proudly served as the Director of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce in the Weber County Chapter. This role allowed me to actively contribute to the economic and social well-being of our community. Additionally, I have been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Freedom Fighter Award and the Weber County Republican Party Community Service Award, recognizing my commitment to civic engagement and community service. Furthermore, I have participated in a documentary, using my voice to articulate perspectives on issues like Critical Race Theory, showcasing my dedication to fostering informed dialogue and understanding within our community. These experiences reflect my ongoing commitment to positively impact and contribute to the well-being of the constituents I am privileged to represent. I also created my own podcast called The Nacho Show where I had the opportunity to interview different points of view of issues affecting our Country.
